Yes! MTG Radar is 100% free for Magic players. You can find nearby players, message opponents, participate in community matches, and view local game store events at zero cost.
We support Commander / EDH (with Power Brackets 1 through 5), Modern, Pioneer, Standard, Pauper, Booster Draft, Sealed, and Premodern. You can customize your favorite formats on your profile.
Your exact latitude and longitude are never shared with other users or sent over the client network. Our server applies a mathematical PostGIS privacy jitter that offsets your location by approximately 300 meters, ensuring your exact address remains strictly confidential. You can also switch your status to Hidden at any time.
Store owners and tournament organizers can apply directly from the app by opening Settings → Store Ambassador Application. Submit your physical address, venue opening hours, and optional WPN credentials for instant Council verification.
MTG Radar is currently available as a native mobile app for iOS and Android to ensure optimal real-time GPS radar and Bluetooth tabletop performance. A web version is planned for a future update.
